1. Is the cover made from real wood?
Yes, our products are made from 100% FSC certified bamboo wood. This means that each product is individually unique in its appearance. The color and wood-grain pattern is different for each journal therefore this is a “one-of-a-kind” item.
2. How strong and durable is the journal?
These journal pages are sewn tightly together and attached firmly to the front/back cover. The bamboo cover adds a lot of natural strength to the notebook that other notebooks will never have.
3. What does the wooden cover feel like?
That is the best part about this journal! The feeling of real natural wood against your hands is incomparable to leather or other plastic products, you will be pleasantly suprised.
4. How is this product eco-friendly if you use wood for the cover?
Our journal products are made from 100% FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) materials, meaning that all steps within the manufacturing process are regulated to ensure that any trees used for paper or wood are planted and harvested sustainably. Furthermore, bamboo is technically a plant species and not a tree, and is one of the fastest-growing plants on the planet, nevertheless, Tree&Journal has ensured that the bamboo is also FSC certified.
5. Is this product suitable for vegans?
Yes, this product is ideally suited for vegans and vegetarians. The journal binding is made from PU leather which is 100% cruelty-free leather.
6. How do you plant a tree for each journal?
Thankfully, selfless organizations nowadays have developed systems to reforest and preserve trees, one land at a time. Tree&Journal has partnered with TreeSisters, an organization whose mission is close to ours and who rapidly accelerates tropical reforestation by inspiring and channeling women's Nature-based feminine leadership into local and global action.
