How Trendovy was Started!
Welcome to my Etsy shop! Starting this jewelry business has been a long time coming. I’ve had the name “Trendovy” brewing in my head for over 5 years. Finally, the timing to launch the business seemed perfect. Thanks to the help of my amazing husband for setting up the website (www.trendovy.com) and Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/trendovyjewelry), we have officially gone live. The response has been overwhelming. I am super excited to be doing what I love—designing jewelry and being creative on a daily basis.
So how did I start making jewelry anyways? Well, I was in the 5th grade when a friend of mine mentioned she liked beading. Right then and there, I knew I needed to explore all things jewelry. I went to my first beadstore, probably that same night, and stocked up on all the beads and jewels that caught my eye. From then on I taught myself how to make jewelry. I made pieces for friends and family. It wasn’t until high school that I started selling my jewelry at a local boutique in Montana. Later in college, I began selling at boutiques and local craft fairs in Arizona. It’s there that I earned my BA in Studio Art with a three-dimensional emphasis and business management.
Years later, having spent time studying under several professionals in the field of jewelry I have finally grown to a point where I can begin to release the collections I’ve been designing all these years. I hope you join me on this journey as I transform the concepts I’ve envisioned into helping woman look and feel beautiful by accessorizing and living an inspired life.
Beyond jewelry, Trendovy's mission is to motivate women and encourage them to be creative on a daily basis. In my spare time I love art journaling, pottery, spending time with my three dogs (Mookie, Zulu and Keelie) and doing art projects with my adorable niece. I was recently married in 2014 to my husband Chris who helps run the "businessy stuff" at Trendovy such as shipping, marketing and web design.
