Veteran/Firefighter/Husband/Father
A little more than the shop story...
Before graduating high school Jeff enlisted in the United States Navy under the Delayed Entry Program. In March 2006 he completed basic training at Naval Station Great Lakes. After 3 months of Damage Control “A” school, Jeff was assigned to the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVN 65) based out of Norfolk, VA. During his time aboard the Enterprise he completed 2 deployments in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom. Jeff completed his enlistment and was honorably discharged as a Damage Controlman Third Class in January 2010.
After his military service, Jeff returned home to Tennessee and enrolled in Volunteer State Community College. Here he received an associate’s degree in Fire Science Technology. He also became certified as an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician. While attending school, Jeff worked several odd jobs including remodeling and maintenance, public works, and as an EMT for a private ambulance service. He also served the community as a volunteer firefighter, it was during this time that he met the woman who would eventually become his wife.
In September 2015, Jeff had the privilege of joining the City of Hendersonville (TN) Fire Department as a full-time Firefighter/EMT. He enjoys serving the community and having the opportunity to help others. Like most firefighters, Jeff found himself working a second job to supplement his income. In July 2018 he began a part-time job at a local engraving company, not knowing the future opportunities this would open up for him.
Under the guidance of two savvy business professionals, Jeff established TriStar Engraving in September 2019. He is proud to call himself a Veteran small business owner. He employs the same pride, passion, and work ethic of his military and public service background to the custom products he designs and creates.
Jeff enjoys spending time outdoors with friends and family. He resides in Greenbrier, TN with his wife Brittney, sons Jackson and Jameson, and 2 German Shepherds (Brooks and Duke).
