About TrollTovaDesign

Sales 1,177
On Etsy since 2017

Hello and welcome to my shop! I'm a 32-year-old woman living in an old cabin in the middle of the Swedish woods. Here I live a calm life with my boyfriend, cat, our 11 chickens and my plants. Besides taking care of my animals and gardening, I also love mushroom gathering, so during autumn I spend a big portion of my spare time in the surrounding forests.

I went two years at the Swedish textile academy and my main craft is weaving, but I enjoy other crafts as well such as sewing and pattern design. I started selling my shawls in 2017, and it's now my only income. I'm inspired by nature, fantasy, fairy tales and I love earthy colors and textures.

My shawls are all handwoven. One shawl takes between a few hours up to several days to make, depending on size. I love to use uneven irregular yarns in earthy colors to create a unique texture. They are soft and warm, and I only make a few of the same kind. I always strive to produce as little waste as possible, so all the scrap yarn is being used to create my unique "scrap yarn shawls". Even the shortest pieces of yarn are being used. The pieces of yarn that are too short to weave with I save for later and when I have enough I turn it into new yarn.

I also offer custom-made scarves, shawls and hoods. Do you want a shawl in another color than the ones I offer, or something completely different? Just send me a message.
Pricing for custom orders: Price can vary a lot depending on model and material. To get a hint on price range, look at the price of the model you like and ad $10. Sometimes an extra material cost is added as well as shipping cost of the material. If you are unsure, don't hesitate to contact me.

If the item does not meet those requirements upon receipt back and inspection, you agree upon returning the goods that any loss of value while in your possession and responsibility prior to receipt will result in a partial/non refund for loss of value and not being in resale condition.

Patterns

Outfits

I only sell handwoven shawls, hoods, scarves and braided belts. All other clothing seen in photos are from my private wardrobe and are not for sale.

Care instructions

Very gently handwash separately in cold water using small amount of mild wool detergent. Soak for 1-2 min. Drain and add clean cold water. Repeat until water is soap free. Do not rub, wring or twist. Place the shawl on a dry towel to drain excess water. Let it air dry flat on a drying rack away from direct heat and sunlight. Do not tumble dry or iron. Wool items do not need to be washed as frequently as other clothing, airing is usually enough to freshen up your shawl. When not in use, store rolled up or on a hanger, not folded, and away from direct sunlight.
