Creating with Purpose
There are so many adventures to have and to learn from. I want to always remember what's important: the lessons I've learned, the truth about who I am, and the special times and seasons of life. I surround myself with beautiful things that capture each of these aspects of life to help me remember. My life's mission is to build, strengthen and encourage, so I want all of this for you too!
Every bit of where I've been and where I want to go inspires me to create. Life's meaningful moments are expressed in the flavor of my teas, the fragrance of the candles and in the shape and design of my jewelry and home goods. You'll see my love for backpacking through the Appalachian and Blue Ridge Mountains evident in much of my work. When I travel someplace new, I savor the moment by engaging all five senses. I pay very close attention to taste, texture, aroma, and color. They all come together to create a one-of-a-kind experience. My aim is to capture the essence of that experience and infuse it into my work. I hope that some part of the comfort, exhilaration, and wonder passes on to you.
Of course, every experience is best when shared! I love sharing my experiences with you and I LOVE to share through gift-giving. There are few things better than the look on someone's face when they receive a thoughtful gift that comes at the perfect time. It feels so good to be known. When a gift comes in a favorite color, or is stamped with an initial, the uniqueness of that person is celebrated. Some of my favorite Etsy experiences have been when people reached out to me for customization on a piece. It makes me so happy to help people express themselves and show their affection to someone they care about.
