Welcome to True Trove Crafts, handmade art and pottery from our family to yours
This is a small family shop where everything is made by hand at home in Texas. Mom and Dad make every piece from scratch. Every item is one of a kind, so what you see is the only one there is.
Dad is the potter. He started throwing three years ago and hasn't stopped since. From his wheel come bowls in every size, ring dishes and trinket dishes, teacups and espresso cups, little bud vases and succulent planters. Some of his pieces go through a raku firing, which gives them their crackle and copper shine, and most of his bowls still show the rings his fingers left as the clay turned.
Mom is the artist of the family. She has a deep love for all things literature, with a particular fondness for birds, their freedom and song inspire her. They show up all through her work, in mosaic wall tiles, little birdhouses and mixed media plaques. She loves the great writers of history too, so among the birds you'll find a shrine to Emily Dickinson and a Shakespeare plaque or two. She also makes pocket notebooks and cards covered in Japanese washi paper collage, framed collage art, keepsake boxes and hand painted stones.
Whether it's something for your own home or a gift for someone you love, there's a good chance you'll find something here that makes you smile. If you have a question about any piece, send a message anytime.
Thank you for stopping by!
