Then life threw me the ultimate test of authenticity. A breast cancer diagnosis. A double mastectomy. Suddenly, being "true Tai" wasn't just a sweet saying—it became my lifeline. In the mirror, facing a changed body and an uncertain future, I had to decide: Would I hide from my new reality or embrace it as part of my truth?
