Creating: a way of life...
I began sewing on an antique commercial machine when I was a young girl. I spent many hours sewing with my mom. In the 1980's she made and sold custom curtains but soon transitioned to selling small handmade items at local craft shows. This blossomed into a business that my parents (now in their 70's) still operate today called "Simple Times Once Again."
As for me, I spent a long time wandering around, making things for fun as I wandered. Eventually I wandered to Alaska where I remained for 14 years. Then I wandered back to Wisconsin and met my husband, had my son and have settled in nicely. I spend my days working as a nurse and my early mornings making things. Nothing makes me happier than sharing my early morning creations with others. I dream of staying home (creating full time) but for now, I continue to work as a nurse, sew for Tundra Buttons and raise my son. It keeps me busy and as my dad would say, it keeps me out of trouble. So thank you for your support and helping to keep me out of trouble.
