We are a mother/daughter shop, 3rd and 4th generation
rug makers specializing in vintage look rag rugs with updated palettes that work for you, your new baby, kids room, or bedroom. Our work is at home on porches, tabletops, boudoirs, cottages, cabins, and surf shacks.

We originated the "Fruit Salsa" rug based on our love of all things Lily. Many of our rugs have been influenced by this tropical palette.

Mom was possibly the world's oldest Etsian at 102, and is very much missed. She was still working with fabrics for rugs until a week before her recent passing.

Our crocheted rugs are handmade for you with updated palettes for today's casual
living and decor. We currently offer ready-to-ship rag rugs and chair pads, just check our shop section "ready to ship!!!".

This is my SECOND rug from this fabulous shop! They are SO kind and easy to communicate with! They made sure they matched the colors to some window treatments I'd already purchased too. I literally gasped when I opened it! It is absolutely PERFECT!

Mom's farmhouse in early spring

Mom's 90th birthday cake. At 102 she was perhaps the world's oldest Etsian.
We hand dye fabrics as needed. Then the cutting begins. Our rugs contain 100's of yards of hand cut fabric.
Mom drew inspiration from her beautiful farm where she grew up. Here are the spring plum blossoms.

Hand crocheted custom designer rag rugs in your colors

My Mom and I trained as fine artists.
We have both set down our paint brushes for the time being to make traditional
America folk art.
Color is what inspires us and has drawn us to this medium.
Most of our work was custom. Now we are offering ready -to- ship rugs only.
Mom and I have been delighted to create one of a kind heirloom pieces that always bring smiles to faces.
The fabrics we use include both new and upcycled and all are hand cut.
We don't use precut mill end strips. Our goal is provide you with happiness in the form of a bit of American folk art.

Frequently asked questions

How long do your rugs take to make?

Small rugs and chair pads take up to a week to make. Large rugs take up to 6 weeks to complete in part due to fabric shipments taking longer to arrive due to COVID.

Care instructions

We include care instructions with each rug we make. In general, avoid machine agitation. For high traffic areas always go with a machine made rug.

Gift wrapping and packaging

We use upcycled boxes for shipping when our rugs will not fit in priority mail boxes.
If you need a gift note added to your rug shipment just ask.

Sizing details

Most of our ready- to- ship rugs can be enlarged....just ask.

Can I buy a rug that is ready- to- ship?

Yes...just look in our "ready to ship" shop section. Most of our "ready to ship" rugs can be be enlarged ....just ask.

What about digitally produced rugs vs. handmade rugs

While we love living in the digital age, digital rugs don't compare to handmade rugs. Our rugs have hundreds of yards of hand cut fabrics and are made by us... humans! If a listing has 65 rugs available, it is not handmade. We encourage you to help support independent artists by buying handmade products.
