Keeping the stockings hung since 2010

In 2011 they were hit by surprise, A Christmas Stocking store that closed before Thanksgiving

In November 2010 I was looking for a stocking for my little one and I stumbled upon Etsy. I didn't know much about Etsy, but I was just looking for Christmas stocking ideas I could do myself. After searching for hours and not finding anything I liked, I designed my own. I had noticed that many of my friends had created Etsy sites of their own, and that is when I decided to try it my self.

I opened my shop and got a sale 15 days later. I was so excited. I did 42 sales that first Christmas and branched out to other items in 2011. Christmas 2011 hit me by surprise. I had so many orders that I had to close before Thanksgiving to make sure everyone got their orders before Christmas.

We love Etsy and the ability for me to stay at home with my 2 kids and have a creative outlet. Turnbow designs is always looking forward to the future and the many things it has in store for us.

Loren is a Senior Network Analysis during the day and a child wrangler, cook, cleaner, and fabric cutter at night. Most all stockings are cut by him. He has recently learned how to sew to help me during the busy months.
