So why is a goth poet girlie and ex freelance writer selling handmade crystal jewelry?
I've been on a journey of healing from complex trauma, learning about my neurotype, battling some health issues...and slowing the f down.
I've been exploring magickal arts as a hobby and for self care. Tarot, astrology, crystals, meditation, sigils, moon water, all the witchy stuff. Writing is my first love, but it's also what I do for a living. I rarely have much energy left for creative writing outside of work.
Crafting has become one of my favorite ways to unwind. I don't have to be verbal or social or perfect, and working with my hands gives me a constructive way to escape.
I picked up some wire wrapping tools and materials for a few reasons. I needed something with low stakes and low expectations to help me feel grounded. I used to love making jewelry and crafting as a kid, and art therapy helped me connect with my inner child "on the inside."
After one trip to Michael's and a couple of crafting sessions, I had some designs I really liked. And little me was fully launched into a new special interest.
