I love making things with my own two hands!
I began by just trying my many ideas out. Sometimes things work out amazingly well and other times they are best left to others! I have a lighthearted approach to learning and trying to do all kinds of things. My favorites are carving and finishing shelves and crosses, making pillow covers with a message or a theme, finishing wood, painting signs, photography, growing and drying herbs and gardening! I find inspiration everywhere. I try to have a time each day for quiet reading and thinking. I find that silence enhances my creativity and I am often lost for hours in working on my latest project! I decided to open "Two Sides to Everything" because people kept saying "you should sell that" when I showed them my latest doings! I kept admiring others who had little shops until one day it seemed as if there was no good reason not to try! I feel inspired to keep trying and imagining and working to improve my skills, especially when I see all the amazing work that others are doing. I feel very blessed to be alive and well after several years of illness--being able to do things again fills me with joy! Work is good--if you love what you do!
