Hi, I'm Tara!
Type Ten is a design studio based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I started Type Ten right after my own wedding, when I picked up everything and moved with my husband to Dublin, Ireland. In a new country with limited work opportunities, I discovered a way to bring my design passion to life through Etsy. Four years later, we are now settled in back in the States, and I continue to love having the opportunity to be a small part for so many big days!
My background is quite diverse, but it all comes back to design. I have an undergraduate degree in Advertising and Public Relations and a master's degree in Digital Design. Before starting Type Ten, I spent nearly 10 years in marketing and advertising for one of the largest department store chains in the US and a great local ad agency in Wisconsin, always working on design projects on the side. I'm particularly passionate about typography and pattern.
My mission is to provide beautiful, simple designs that make it easy and affordable. In my shop, you'll find coordinating collections of wedding stationery that are customizable and complement a variety of different wedding themes. Order just one item or multiple matching items to create a cohesive look. And I also love custom orders, whether it's matching something from your existing theme or coming up with something new from scratch.
Everything in my shop is printable, which means I design and you print (either at home or with a printer of your choice). Think of it as semi-DIY. Chances are you haven't printed something like this on your own before. But don't worry! Even after we finalize your design, I’m here as a resource and to assist with any printing questions.
