About Me
My name is Shizuka, and I am the owner and designer of this shop. I create beautiful and unique surface patterns inspired by my Okinawan heritage, culture and everyday experiences.

I was born and raised in Okinawa, Japan, a tropical island with rich history and traditions. I moved to the US with my husband, who is a disabled veteran, and we have three lovely children. Our youngest son is autistic, and he is the joy of our lives.

About My Shop
I started this shop to support my family financially and to pursue my passion for creativity. For a long time, I focused on taking care of my family and neglected my own needs for mental and physical well-being. One day, my friend asked me what I do for myself, and I realized that I had forgotten what I love to do. I decided to learn a new skill - surface pattern design - and I fell in love with it.

About My Craft
Surface pattern design is the art of creating repeating patterns that can be applied to various products, such as fabric, wallpaper, stationery, and more. I use digital tools and hand-drawn elements to create my patterns, and I draw inspiration from the nature, colors, and motifs of things around me.

I am new to this industry, and I still have a lot to learn, but I am grateful for every opportunity and challenge that comes my way. Your support means a lot to me, and it motivates me to keep improving and creating.
