In general, keep my pieces out of direct sunlight and away from any major heat source and sources of damp. If you follow these instructions then my pieces will last and be cherished for many lifetimes.
With use my finish will eventually ware. For wood pieces simply apply a good quality wax paste or an oil such as Danish oil. For antler and antler/wood pieces apply a mineral oil. For Damascus Steel Sgian Dubh/Brews and Dirks, to store, apply any clear oil to the blade and store out of the sheath.

I am happy to use Pyrography (wood burning) to add an initial/name and/or a date to a Sgian Dubh/Brew or Dirk. I usually do this as a no cost option.

Just to clarify, the item pictured in each listing is the actual item that will be received unless otherwise stated. The Natural Antler handles are unique so only one of each of them but I may have overstock made in other designs, please just ask.

99.9% of orders are shipped the next day or sometimes even the same day. For UK orders I use Royal Mail 1st class recorded. For International orders I usually use Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed service, this is a fast, reliable service that tries to deliver in 7-10 days. Unfortunately I am unable to ship to Hawaii, the system will still allow orders to be placed. Any orders placed for Hawaii will be cancelled and refunded in full. USA - As of the 1st July 2021 i am experiencing delays in some orders of up to approximately 8 weeks due to continued Pandemic disruption especially when going through the Illinois Postal hubs like Chicago. I will not take responsibly for orders placed last minute, please order 2 months in advance.

My Stainless Steel Sgian Dubh blades are made from a high quality Stainless Steel. They come supplied with a blunt edge but can be sharpened and will hold a keen edge. I will sharpen blades for £5 each. I will send a link for the sharpening to be bought through my shop.
My Damascus blades already have a good profile so I am happy to sharpen these free of charge as they require very little in the way of grinding, please request sharpening in the buying notes or contact me with your requirements.

I do not gift wrap items but package them very well. If items are marked as gift when purchasing I am happy to include a hand written message to your recipient on one of my cards. Please put the details of your message on the buying notes when purchasing. If your item is for someone else or you just want them included, I am happy to put the details of the item(s) onto headed paper, please just ask for this when ordering, alternatively I can send you the details on a PDF.

Over the years I have had lots of discussions about which way up my kilt pins are worn. As I prefer the wood at the top so the wearer can see it, I set the pin so that it points down from the wood. Some of my customers prefer the tines pointing up with the wood at the bottom. Pinned either way into the kilt, my kilt pins will hold securely. I would suggest that the wearer pleases themselves to how they prefer theirs displayed.

I am having problems with some of my items being viewed by UK customers, mostly Damascus Sgian Dubhs and Dirks that show as “unavailable in your region” or simply that there is a problem with the item and you can’t view it. These items are available to all my UK customers, if you encounter any problems with viewing through my Etsy shop please send me a message.

All items included in the original order must be returned for any refund to be actioned.
