Umay's Story
Hi!
I (Zeliha Umay) and my husband (Emrah Umay) are working at our home atelier to make all beauties that you love in our Etsy shop. We are a team as parents for our daughter at home, and we are a team for our work at the atelier. I think these sentences are enough to explain our life a little bit more :) Our daughter is 12 years old. We married on Aug. 2010.
Nature allways inspires us and we make some jewels by using real plants in resin.. We use different natural Healing crystals and natural Gem stones to make our jewels more beautiful as well. Most of our items are made of resin and polymer clay. We use different materials to make different models and designing them in a harmony. Working with different materials is hard and they all have different tecniques by each. So, we always try to get the best result and effect for every miniatures and other parts on making them.
Emrah sculptes the miniature skulls, cats and others to make a mold at first. We cast the miniature models by using these molds. And of course we use different painting tecniques on every molded miniature models. These miniatures are made of a kind of resin. We really love trying to find the best results even if it is not very easy :)
