The collection runs wide on purpose. Sweeping oil painting style landscapes and misty mountain scenery. Loose, luminous watercolor florals and botanical studies. Moody still lifes in the deep browns and warm ochres of the old masters. Animal portraits that look like they were commissioned by somebody's eccentric great-aunt. And a whole shelf of the stranger things: gothic and dark academia prints, eerie Victorian horror, creatures that lurk politely at the edge of the frame.
We keep it all under one roof because most people's taste does not fit neatly into one aesthetic either. The same person wants a soft watercolor coastline above the bed and something with teeth in the hallway. That person is who this shop is for.

Each purchase includes high-resolution files at 300 DPI, sized for the frame ratios people actually own: 2:3 (4x6, 12x18, 24x36), 3:4 (6x8, 18x24), 4:5 (8x10, 16x20), 11x14, and the full ISO A-series (A5 through A1) for buyers outside the US. Print at home on cardstock, upload to a local print shop, or send the file straight to an online printer. Frame it in whatever you already have.
HOW THESE ARE MADE
We are direct about our process, because you deserve to know what you are buying.
Every piece in this shop is designed by us using AI image generation tools, then curated, color-corrected, upscaled, and prepared for print by hand. The creative direction, the composition choices, the palette, the culling of the ninety-nine versions that did not work, and the print preparation are all human work. The rendering is not. These are not hand-painted originals and we will never describe them that way.

A NOTE ON THE NAME
Umber is a pigment. Raw umber and burnt umber are the warm earth browns that sit underneath an enormous share of the paintings hanging in museums right now, mixed into shadows and underpainting and skin and soil. It seemed like the right thing to name a house of pictures after.
WHO IS BEHIND THIS
UmberHouse is a one-person shop run around a full-time nursing job. Most of these pieces were finished late at night after a shift. The care that goes into a print here is the same care that goes into everything else: get the details right, do not cut corners, and treat the person on the other end like they matter. The creator, Nicholas, is a nurse and computer scientist with a passion for all things artistic.
BEFORE YOU BUY
Digital files cannot be returned once downloaded, so please check the listing photos and the included sizes before purchasing. If a file will not open, prints wrong, or is not what the listing promised, message us. We will act quickly to fix it. We would rather have a happy buyer than a defended sale.
