Welcome to Une Bonne Journee — A Personal Passion for Timeless Hand-Craftsmanship.

Welcome to my shop! My name is Penny, and Une Bonne Journée (Have a Good Day) is my personal passion project.

This space was created not from a commercial blueprint, but from a personal need for focus and mindfulness in a fast-moving world. For years, I have been deeply fascinated by traditional arts and metaphysics, always searching for a sense of inner balance. I found that peace in the rhythm of hand-sewing and the study of beautiful textiles.

A Curator of Fine Fabrics
I don't just buy material; I study the history and texture behind it. My collection is a reflection of what inspires me: the romantic, pastoral scenes of French Toile de Jouy, the iconic botanical heritage of Liberty of London, and the incredible, understated quality and craftsmanship but also fun of fine Japanese textiles. To me, mixing these beautiful traditions is where the joy lies.

The Honest Craft of Hand-Sewing
Because this is a personal pursuit of craft, I refuse to rush. I choose to hand-sew each piece into its metal frame using strong Germany’s Gütermann thread. It requires absolute focus, patience, and a lot of time. But when I finish a piece, knowing it was made properly and honestly with my own two hands, there is a deep sense of contentment.

When you choose a piece from my shop, you are receiving not only a unique hand sewn purse, but also a part of my genuine love for the craft. I hope these purses bring a touch of calm, elegant joy to your everyday life.
