A curated archive of heritage textiles, ready for print
I noticed heirloom cloth folded away for safekeeping. Pieces passed down, stored in boxes, carted from house to house, fragments preserved behind glass in a museum drawer. Protected because they matter.
We save the things we love.
We tuck them away so they will last.
This shop brings those textiles back into view.
Unratio is the studio of Australian artist and writer Isa June. From my studio, I create accessible digital wall art from scans of real antique and traditional fabrics from around the world, with a focus on batik, damask, florals and cultural cloth.
Each textile is carefully selected, edited and prepared for print, restored, resized and refined so it can be used easily in real interiors. I organise these works into cohesive collections, designed to sit effortlessly together as single pieces, gallery walls or complete room sets.
My work is about honouring what already exists. It gives original craftsmanship a contemporary life, one where it is visible and appreciated again.
As you explore, I hope it feels like opening a chest of sun-faded quilts, velvets, woven sarongs and floral curtains. I hope you feel that thrill of reaching in and finding something exquisite, already complete as the work of art it is.
If you need any help with sizing, printing or choosing pieces that work together, I’m always here.
If you are looking for my hand drawn bright coastal illustrations, I have moved this body of work to my new Isa June fine art print store, on Etsy - https://isajune.etsy.com
Warmly,
Isa June
