Many more who did not help me having a Conventional living.
Upcycling, the process of converting "rubbishes' into valuable pieces of Furniture,
may be the Solution,
Upcycling, becoming more and more a passion and my career plan,
might be my Solution.
And 20 years after the first Appearance of the term, Upcycle
Now is the time to bring this Art to Another Level …
THE STORY
About 5 years ago, I had a cheap IKEA table in my living room for just over a year;
One leg was broken and became dangerous for the kids and the laminated wooden table top has faded away since a long time too.
My partner was also complaining that it was always the mess and that it was lacking of originality.
She couldn't stand our interior anymore, and wanted to change everything !!
The only problem, we both have a champagne taste with a beer budget, but I had to find a new layout …
We needed something cheap, solid, nice, modern, different and that could last a lifetime !
Once I saw the result in my first pallet coffee table and the enthusiasm of people when having guests, I just couldn't stop Creating and Upcycling.
Nowadays, my living area looks like a modern minimalist gallery, where all my creations, mostly made of wood, slate, glass tops, pallets and cable drum, brighten and enhance the place.
I have now completed an online Interior Designer course in order to become accredited and known as a young promising Designer.
REMINDERS :
Please note that, to me, Upcycling is not about perfection.
It will depend on the quality of the materials and items found, on the refurbishing work done, and of course the finishing touches made.
According to me, the result would be the combination of free stuff looking perfect together and not a single bought or manufactured finish product should be added in the making of a piece of Upcycle …
