Announcement
[Update // October 2022]
We continue offering the Sashiko supplies & Sashiko items with following the necessary precaution and USPS measures. If it will take longer than usual, we will notify you here. As of today (Oct.2022), we do not experience the difficulty in fulfilling the order, so everything should be the same as usual.
However, due to Covid-19, the supplies from Japan may take much longer to arrive to the U.S. Also, Japan Post announce that they will not make a delivery to some countries. There is a possibility of "running out" of inventory if this situation continues. If you plan to purchase Sashiko supplies, please make sure to place when they are available.
I appreciate your understanding & interest in Sashiko.
Stay Safe & Enjoy Sashiko.
Atsushi
*We experience a system error for the "Shipping Free" option. All of the package with "Shipping Free" will be shipped with First-Class USPS package. Please contact us when you would like to upgrade. We are happy to upgrade it with extra fee.
Note: +++++++++++++
We strive to provide the best Sashiko supplies & Sashiko artworks based on our 30+ years of experience in Sashiko.
**Sashiko Thread does matter**
Our Sashiko threads are specially designed for the Sashiko purpose. Some threads are dyed with Natural Vege/Herb. The better Sashiko thread will result in the more beautiful stitching. There are many reasons we call it "Sashiko thread".
We also provide some Sashiko fabric, Sashiko art pieces, and small bags and accessories. Enjoy the great quality of our supplies & art from long-lasting tradition.
[Note about International Shipping - outside of the USA]
*Atsushi will make a shipment of the orders to be delivered to the US address from PA via USPS. Keiko will make a shipment of the orders delivered to the Japanese address and other International addresses, from Japan via Japan Post.
[About Free Domestic shipping]
We offer free shipping for the order of more than $35.00 in total. If the order total weight is less than 1 lb, the package will be shipped in "First-Class" mail (even if the system only let you choose the priority one. In order to keep the accurate shipping weight, the system may over-estimate the weight depends on the order contents). The carrier is USPS. Thank you for understanding.
[What is Sashiko?]
*Sashiko is a form of hand-stitching developed in Japan. It looks similar to the embroidery, but developed in unique reasons & purposes, emphasizing on strengthening the fabric. We believe the technique and culture of Sashiko can be applied to existing quilting and patchwork. You may learn more about Sashiko by following us. Thank you!
