I remember the first time that I walked into a store that sold just quotes on boards sometime around 2004 and I almost passed out from happiness right in their entryway. Thankfully, I was shopping with my mom and she steadied me.
I have always loved quotes so this was the first time my world sort of tilted. I immediately bought one and took it home to examine how they had made it. Fast forward about 5 years and I realized that these vinyl lettering quotes were cut by machines rather than by Xacto knives by hand. One of my dear friends actually bought herself one of the vinyl cutting machines. We started having craft days at her house and then she let me borrow her machine a few times. After almost wearing it out each time, my husband bought me an industrial size one for Christmas. My friend may have been just as excited as I was.
So, I got a little crazy and decided that the only way that I could do what I loved every day was to start my own business and cut things out for me as well as other people. I could not have been happier about this idea and now a couple of years later, here I am doing exactly what I love all the time. So the quote that says: "Choose a job you love and you will never work a day in your life - Confucious" - yep, that is me.
