Hello! My name is Leah and this is my handmade jewelry business! I am a recent Mount Mary graduate: Art Therapy major and Business Minor. I make and sell my jewelry in my (very limited) free time. All of my pieces are made from lightweight wood, acrylic paint, newspaper and/ or book-pages .

My first pair of earrings started as an experiment. One day I bought a pair of plain wooden earrings from the store and thought it would be cool to cover it with newspaper and paint a red rose on it. I loved the result and added it to my jewelry collection. A year or so passed and I kind of forgot about it them, until I found them again cleaning my room. I started to wear them and would get a lot of compliments on them. So I thought, "Hey! Maybe I should make more like these!" ... and now here I am: Five years and many markets later.

During my first year, I started selling at small markets such as the Growing Power Winter Market and putting a few listings every now and then on Etsy. In the last few years I have expanded and been part of many other markets.I even have a few pieces in consignment stores!

All of this and more would not have been possible without my friends and family. I want to give a special thanks to my mom, a.k.a my partner in crime who has spent many late nights and long market days with me. A big thanks to my mentor Karen, Raymond and my dad for their support and advice. I want to thank Daniel McCullough, Alexis Williams and Micah Martin for their photography skills.
