Hello, my name is Vasylyna and I am a feltmaker from Ukraine. I have been running my own business as a feltmaker for 10 years. I remember that it was a very magical moment for me when the first time I finished a felt work with my own hands. I was so fascinated by this technique and also so proud of myself. I felt very happy! And the result really motivated me to go further and start another piece. For a long time, I’m inspired by my father too. Since my childhood I have been very creative. I have always painted something in my father’s workshop where he had made his art carving.
Time was passing. After school I finished the university and became an accountant. I even worked as the general accountant on a private firm. But in 2013, during the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity, I had understood that the changes in my country begin in each of us. I decided to change my favourite hobby into my own little business and job.
I want to show my felt works all over the world. Because Ukraine is a country of talented people, traditions and trades. I design and create felt jewelry, accessories, capes, hats, mittens, bags for women, shoes and home décor items. Best of all I like designing accessories because they complete the image and tell the mood of a woman.
I consider the beauty is in pieces. Piece by piece an image of the item emerges in my mind.So I am very accurately disposed to each stages of my work – from the pattern to the decoration.
I create romantic accessories for women. I like flowers very much. So when I create them I try to reproduce their true living beauty.
With great pleasure I share of my skills and experience with other people. I adore this condition of exchange of views, energy and positive emotions.
I will be happy to share a piece of my Ukrainian soul with you through my felt works.
