Inspiration drives me!
In the late 70's, I used to make jewelry items with my mom, as well as leather items. I learned how to make these things in school then taught my mom and since she was already very artistic, she created some true masterpieces.
As I grew into adulthood, I was not able to create anything and really missed the days I spent with her chatting while creating, laughing and just enjoying the time.
Unfortunately I lost my mom to cancer in 97' and have missed her every day since. And I guess what got me started in making the jewelry again was her. My dad gave me a few of her bead supplies that we collected together in the late 70's and it inspired me to start creating again. It has been therapy for me, and I really enjoy making new things, but when I see the amazingly beautiful pieces that others make, I am often inspired to create something similar but with my own flair. There are so many wonderfully talented individuals out there creating some gorgeous art and jewelry, how could one not be inspired? :-)
I also am a digital artist, and generally integrate my art into web designs, in my spare time, I enjoy working with my hands, it is relaxing and brings back some wonderful memories.
My workspace is very small, only about 4 inches of space on my desk in front of the computer, but there, I am comfortable making jewelry. My favorite, is bead weaving, and I am always learning something new.
I really hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy creating it. ♥
