An Italian atelier of light
Velatura is a small atelier in Italy where lamps and vases are made one at a time.
Every piece is sculpted as a single continuous spiral - one unbroken line of material, wound from base to rim, with no seams and no joins. The technique is called vase mode. It leaves the wall thin enough that light passes straight through it: the object doesn't just hold the light, it becomes it.
Nothing here is mass-produced. Each piece is made to order, printed one at a time and finished by hand - which means you choose how it looks: a translucent body, a solid base, the colors you actually want in your room.
Lamps ship with the LED module included: three light temperatures (warm, natural, cool) and a dimmer. You plug it in and it works. No bulb to buy.
If you want something that doesn't exist yet - a size, a colour, a shape for one specific corner of a room - send me a message. Custom work is the part I like most.
I usually reply within 24 hours.
