How did I get here...
I grew up in a crafty household and, in college, I started sewing. I would get clothes, sheets, and fabric from thrift stores and craft my own dresses. And I loved it. I loved knowing the ecological impact of my clothes was minimal, that the person who sewed it loved doing it, and that I had clothes that fit a body type that is very hard to find clothes for off the peg.
In 2008 I moved from LA to upstate New York to live and work at an amazing place called The Omega Institute. It offered me the most challenging and rewarding job, friends, and life that I could've ever wanted. We would have craft fairs there, and for one of them I made a couple shirts. And they sold! So for the next I made some more and never stopped. I scour thrift shops for awesome tees and then make them my own, and hopefully your own too :)
In 2009 I met a man from Salt Lake City at a goat farm in Texas, and a few months later we embarked on our road-trip life.
By 2012 we were ready to settle down for a bit, and now make our home at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains in Utah, and in 2013 we adopted our rescue mutt Bjear.
Your purchases from this shoppe (or my husband's soap shop: Semi-Nomadic Soap also here on etsy) help support us at our newest venture - as of 2016, we are running a small, sustainable farm located just north of Durham, NC.
Cheers,
