Larp supplies by a pair of college students
Diana Vertein and Shelly Sonsalla began Versalla Larp Supplies and Eccentricities simply as a hobby. Diana enjoyed leatherwork, but needed to do something with all of the pouches and armor she loved to make. Shelly enjoyed making garb and collecting furs and skulls, but there is only so much of that one person can own. So they decided to see if some of the members of the larp they were involved in would be interested in purchasing these items from them. When they returned to college in the fall, they started their Etsy shop and began selling items to a larger group of customers. Despite a slow start, the shop soon took off and the two college students stayed busy selling larp supplies on Etsy during the school year then spending their weekends on the summer as vendors at the various (smaller) Wisconsin Renaissance Faires.
Recently, Diana and Shelly graduated from UW Stevens Point and Shelly continued onto graduate school. The shop is still going strong as a side business and helps to supplement their income during school. Once Shelly graduates, they hope to move back to the Baraboo area and attend faires in the surrounding states.
The shop carries a wide variety of items, hence the use of the term "Eccentricities" in its title. We sell anything that interests us and that we believe fellow larp, steampunk, SCA, and Renaissance Faire enthusiasts will enjoy.
