Why we do... What we do...
Life takes many directions and sometimes throws us unexpected curves. Those curves can come in amazing packages such as grandchildren! Or not so amazing packages like spinal injuries or even cancer. Life has thrown all these curves my direction in the last four years.
These curves have made sewing difficult, if not impossible. But my love and desire to serve children and adults with sensory issues has not faded. Freeze dried foods can do just that with their crunchy goodness. Sensory issues can cause food aversions, leaving many with only wanting crunchy foods. Chips, pretzels, cheese puffs become favorites, but are limiting. Freeze drying adds so many options for foods and snacks while providing the desired crunch.
Freeze drying brings out the wonderful flavors and turns berries, yogurt, bananas crunchy. Celery no longer has strings. Skittles are larger, crunchy and dissolve in your mouth if you can resist chewing! And these are just a few choices in this brand new crunchy world.
