Virginia Free Farm
Our Mission is to provide FREE nutritious, responsibly produced healthy food to our neighbors in need. Our growing methods take the lead from mother nature & we honor the indigenous methods of controlled burn, natural animal soil disruption, & companion planting in order to most responsibly care for ecosystem we are a part of. We believe each one of us should be a steward of the earth & our fellow man acting deliberately to live with veracity, beneficence, and fidelity.

These are bare root. Arrived 8 days after I ordered. The roots are quite dry, and packed in some type of shredded paper material, and a ziplock bag. I hope they grow. Putting them in the ground today. Added some water to the ziplock to try to rehydrate them overnight last5 night. I’m not sure of I should expect any top growth yet this season, to be able to tell that the violets are alive before frost hits.

Good experience overall, likely had more than the 20 I bought, I put them in the ground the day they arrived and started to see growth about a month later, so far, half to most of them have popped up, good roots
