My earliest artistic memories go back when I was 10 years old and took an oil painting class
in my home town on Cape Cod, MA. I always had the knack to draw and paint. I was always
the kid in class that people would elect to draw something for a project or create something in
my various art classes. When I got to high school is when I got introduced to many mediums of art.
I took up Pen & Ink and found that to be my favorite medium. I won best art portfolio my
Senior year. I also was exposed to photography and film making. When I decided to go to
college, I wanted to go to New York City and study film and television. I went to the prestigious, School of Visual Arts. I loved the world of film and television and I pursued that
for the past twenty years.
So then I hear about ETSY and it was a place to get my artwork out there. I was blown away that I could create and sell my work online. It gave me a lot of confidence. It has transformed
the way I see the world now. Instead of seeing a perfect shot for a still photo or a film scene, i
see the way a painter see's. Its the interpretation of translating that to canvas. I find this very
stimulating and challenging. I'm always learning as I go and the internet has so many resources to choose from. I'm primarily a self taught artist. At this point, I'm creating things
the way I see it. I found a new passion that will stick with my the rest of my life.
