I started Wheat State Wool Co. after venturing out on my own from Sunflower Cottage Crochet. I had designed many patterns there however, my best friend and business partner and I decided we both wanted to try things solo--we're still best buds!

My new adventure is taking me to bare yarns where I can let the creative colors flow. All sorts of themes and sights inspire me to design many different yarn color collections. I think my most favorite type of hand-dyed yarn is speckled, so look for a fair amount of those!

I am continuing to design crochet patterns however, I would love to design them with my own yarns as sort of a package deal. You can then see how the yarn looks worked up!

Lastly, my husband is joining me on this journey. He and I have a wood shop in our basement and garage (yes, two!), where he will be turning yarn bowls, hooks, boxes, and all kinds of crochet-related goodies (and a few non-crochet related ones, as well!).

My goal is to create the perfect one-stop shop for hobbiests of crochet and knitting and also a place for those that want one-of-a-kind notions and gifts to give to themselves or others.
