I began by making hair bows. I was asked to make a wreath by a family member, and so I thought I'd give it a try. I began researching popular wreaths, and fell in love with burlap, peonies, and hydrangeas! I love to go to wander around craft stores and supply sites looking for supplies for my next idea. I am a stay at home mom living in Maryland, and was in search of starting a business. I received lots of encouragement from family and friends to begin to sell on Etsy. That's when WhimsyChicDesigns was started! I have had so much fun creating and designing new wreaths, mason jars, home, wedding, and holiday decor.

My Etsy shop became more successful than I could have ever hoped for! I am so grateful to my wonderful, supportive husband. I quickly became so busy, that I asked my sister, Jamie, to join me in making WhimsyChicDesigns a success. It was wonderful working together! Some years ago, our lives both took unexpected turns with a baby and another job opportunity, and I put my shop on an extended vacation mode. I opened it back up in the spring of 2023 working solo again.
I am enjoying getting back to making beautiful wreaths as well as coming up with some new ideas.
