WhyNatt, founded in 2020 by Beirut-born illustrator and designer Natasha Simonian, is a Lebanese art store and family-run souvenir shop that captures the essence of Lebanon through vibrant, modern, and nostalgic artworks.

After spending over seven years abroad, Natasha's enduring homesickness for her beloved Lebanon inspired her to create pieces that resonate with the beauty and spirit of the land of the Cedars. This deep connection became the foundation of WhyNatt, driving the creation of unique, colorful, and evocative art and collectibles. Each piece reflects Natasha’s passion for Lebanon, a country known for its heavenly cuisine, stunning natural landscapes, and a blend of traditional and contemporary architecture.

WhyNatt is dedicated to producing high-quality art prints and collectibles, with a vision to bring a touch of Lebanon to every expat's home-away-from-home. These creations serve as a constant reminder of one's roots and the warmth of home. Every item is proudly designed, produced, and packaged in their studio located in the heart of Beirut, Mar Mikhael.

Natasha is a typical small business owner. She focuses on her art and manages social media, marketing, and customer service. She left her 9-to-5 job to work 24/7 :)
Antranik

Co-Founder

Dr. Antranik is our co-founder. He is Natasha’s life partner, her biggest supporter and motivator. He runs everything technical. Oh and he is also an astrophysicist! (WHAT?)
Melly

Operations Assistant Manager

Melly is our assistant manager. Natasha is always driving her crazy with errands. She packs most of the orders, ensuring they arrive to you safe and sound!
Sonia

Shopkeeper

Sonia is our shopkeeper in Mar Mikhael, Beirut (and Natasha's mom). She ensures customers leave the shop with a smile. She’s known to be very chatty and occasionally offers coffee when the conversation gets deep.
Vahe

Shopkeeper

Natasha's dad! You can always find him at the shop, most of the time sitting outside, having a cigarette while watching news on his phone and occasionally welcoming passers-by to the shop! Rest assured, he will also find you a parking space :)

Frequently asked questions

What is the best way to frame the prints?

We recommend using UV protective glass when framing our signed art prints. This will prevent the colours from fading over a period of time. The alternative and the less costly way is to place the prints away from direct sunlight to avoid damaging them.
Also, pay attention to humidity. The amount of water in the air can have a huge impact on the overall health of your art. Make sure to monitor the humidity level in your home and, ideally, keep it around 55%. (You can track your home’s humidity with a simple hygrometer.)

Where can we find frames for your prints?

Our prints are of standard "A" sizes (A4, A3, A2...)
You can easily find them at any local framing shop, department store, or even online through Amazon or Ikea.

Do the prints come framed?

Our prints don't include the frames. We do not ship frames due to high risk of glass breakage during transit. We recommend purchasing the frames locally online through Amazon or at any local department store or framing shop.
