Rocks and Bling and lovely Old Things
Born and raised in rural Arkansas I developed a natural love of arts and crafts at an early age. I loved playing in my grandma's quilt scrap box and button tin. I can't remember a time when I wasn't making something glittery, even my mud pies. I loved rocks!! Hunted for interesting ones everywhere I went and decorated my room with rough crystal, unusual rocks, shells, and anything found in my roaming and our family travels that looked "cool" was far more exciting than any shopping spree. Mostly a tom boy in those days I loved riding our horses and riding in shows just as much as my hunting adventures. I still love horses and miss not being around them. Other than that, the beach and growing flowers make me very happy.
Now... I can indulge myself with stones galore and of course my taste has developed from rocks with cool colors and shapes to gorgeous gem stones. It's a natural fit to find ways to create unique designs for jewelry with my beloved stones. It is an obsession which feeds my spirit, heart and soul... I simple love it.
Crystals are another huge weakness and it's hard for me not to put them on everything but I'm learning restraint. sort of. Then there are the old, interesting vintage things which seem to really pull me in. I've endeavored to combine these elements to create my own brand which is on the eclectic side. I'm constantly evolving and strive to add new skills each year as I learn what people love and enrich my abilities. We're all unique and I hope perhaps you'll find something in one or more of my designs that's just right for you or someone you know. You can always ask me anything. I welcome your thoughts.
I love to write.... and have to restrain myself there also... so I'm going to stop here before I go into novel mode. Thanks for taking the time to check things out!!
