I ran away from the real world...
I was once a Madison Avenue executive creative director, and now consider myself a "recovering advertising executive."
(You had to watch Mad Men to understand.)
A few years back, my husband and I moved to the south Oregon coast from Los Angeles to get a life and make a different kind of living. We worked like crazy to develop a small ecofriendly resort in Port Orford, and make it the kind of place we'd like to visit, that would be comfortable in the beautiful and quirky Big Sur (if we'd had 5 times more money...).
WildSpring Guest Habitat has become successful enough that I've been able to retire from advertising, and allow me a chance to find that sweet creative part that had to cower in a corner while I took meetings, did lunch and nailed presentations to people I didn't know, trying to sell products that didn't matter.
So now I paint, write, craft, make jewelry, design greeting cards, and generally wake up looking forward to the day, deciding what cool thing I feel like working on before taking a nap or collecting wild chanterelles for dinner.
I feel like I'm living in summer camp.
So...what can I make for you today?
