This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, store, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Etsy, Canva, or any third-party services you access through Etsy or through links provided with your purchase. 1. Information I Collect
To fulfil your order, you must provide me with certain information, which you authorised Etsy to provide to me, such as your name, email address, shipping address, Etsy username, order details, payment status, and details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information if you contact me directly for a custom order, support request, or help with your digital product.
2. Why I Need Your Information and How I Use It
I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:
- Service Delivery: As needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, provide access to your digital product, settle disputes, or provide customer support.
- Legal Obligation: If necessary to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or regulatory requirement, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by UK tax, accounting, or business record-keeping law.
- Legitimate Interests: As necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights, such as providing and improving my services, responding to customer enquiries, preventing fraud, resolving disputes, maintaining business records, and complying with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.
- Consent: Where you have provided your express consent for a specific purpose, which you may revoke at any time.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:
- Etsy: I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
- Canva: Some products are Canva template products. Canva is a third-party platform and is not owned or controlled by me. You may need to use Canva to access and edit your purchased template.
- Service Providers: I may use trusted third-party service providers to help operate my shop and business, such as email providers, file storage providers, bookkeeping or accounting tools, and business administration tools. I share your personal information with these third parties only to the extent necessary to perform these services, maintain business records, provide customer support, or comply with legal obligations.
- Compliance with Laws: I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to respond to legal processes, comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, enforce my terms, or protect the rights and safety of my customers, my business, or others.
- Business Transfer: If I sell or transfer my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
4. Data Retention
I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services. However, I am also required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, such as HMRC tax, accounting, and business record-keeping requirements. I generally keep your data for 6 years. After this period, I will delete or anonymise personal information where it is no longer needed.
5. Transfers of Personal Information Outside the UK/EU
Some third-party services I use may store or process personal information outside the UK/EU. Where this happens, I rely on appropriate safeguards where required, such as adequacy regulations, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable, Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK Addendum, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, depending on the service provider.

If you reside in the UK, EU, or another location with applicable data protection rights, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information, including the right to access, correct, restrict, object to, or ask for deletion of your data where legally possible. You may also withdraw consent where I rely on consent, or raise a concern with your local data protection authority.
Please note that I may need to retain certain information where required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or Etsy policy reasons.
