I've been loving, wearing, collecting and buying it for so long, my love of vintage now qualifies as vintage. I was a teen in the 80s, a golden era for vintage, when thrift stores overflowed with bounty from the 30s, 40s, and 50s. I got my first job at 15 and began filling my closet with atomic-era patterned day dresses, swanky shoulder-padded 40s crepes, and delicate 30s frocks.

My existing love of history and fashion was broadened by the hours I spent combing the racks. I learned how fashion reflects its cultural moment, be it the military cut of a WWII era ladies' jacket or the cheery, storybook quality designed into Depression-era clothing as an antidote to hard times.

This is all a highfalutin' way of saying I'm a hopeless clothes horse. But there comes a time when closets can hold no more, and luckily, the internet got invented and there was Etsy when I decided to share the goods with you. So enjoy. And remember: Life's too short to dress boringly.
