Welcome to Wind & Root Co. — where edgy humor, bold self-expression, and unapologetic empowerment take center stage!!
I created this shop because my life partner who is a plus size, 6’ tall female could never find clothes that truly fit — in size, in style, or in spirit. Four years ago I told her I would find her clothes online even if I had to create them myself!! Speaking personally, as a lesbian and mom, I wanted a space where everyone (yes, everyone) could feel safe, seen, heard, and completely unfiltered while repping who they are.
The name Wind & Root Co. comes from my life partner’s love for birds (“wind”) and my love for houseplants (“root”) — which I started collecting after my teens left the nest (literally). What started as filling my home with plants turned into filling the world with designs that spark conversation, make people laugh, and remind you that you’re allowed to take up space exactly as you are.
Here you’ll find size-inclusive apparel and accessories — t-shirts, sweatshirts, tote bags (with more coming soon: hats, tumblers, phone cases!) — all with trendy designs that are empowering, snarky, or sassy from a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
