I may have been a child hoarder
When cleaning out her attic, my mother realized that numerous boxes were marked "Jessica's Toys". She rang me up and asked for help. I never knew that I had kept every single toy that I ever came across! I used to enjoy my weekends shopping at flea markets, auctions, and yard sales with my parents. My mother instilled in my head that old things were the best things. I understood quality and took great care of all my toys, no matter what the age. Many of the toys were cleaned and donated to a local shelter. The rest, however were just too nostalgic not to share.
A special thank you also goes out to my Aunt Heather, who saved every McDonald's toy that she could get for many, many years. She would give me bags full at a time. I still had them all! McDonald's toys make amazing cake toppers and party supplies! You can find characters that are hard to find or way too pricey, otherwise.
I wanted a shop solely for Vintage Toys, Nursery Items, and Party Supplies. All of the items in my shop were either mine or my mother's finds over many years. They have all been cleaned (who wants a dirty toy) and come from a smoke free home.
It puts a smile on my face to search, clean, and photograph each individual toy. I am loving this new venture, even if just for the memories!
My first Etsy shop is Eysabella. It features handmade and vintage items, as well!
