“All great literature is one of two stories; a man goes on a journey or a stranger comes to town.”
Hello. My name is Talha. I was born in Turkey in 1990. I don’t particularly enjoy talking about myself, but filling out the “about” section of our digital profiles has become one of the necessities of modern life.
In general, I am a quiet and calm person. I value a peaceful, simple way of living, and I believe this is closer to human nature. When I look at the modern world, however, I mostly see noise, selfishness, arrogance, and moral exhaustion. This wears down my spirit and drains my energy. For that reason, I try to live a modest life away from cities, in a place where people are still sincere and considerate. What I seek is silence, tranquility, and time alone with my soul.
During my university years, I worked in graphic design to support myself. I taught myself Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and other design tools without formal training. Curiosity and trial-and-error became the main motivation of my life. I worked with various printing machines and, through hundreds of mistakes, gained solid experience in both design and print production. I have now been active in this field for nearly ten years.
I worked for large companies in Turkey, but my desire to move away from city life never faded. Eventually, I left my job and began looking for ways to sell my designs online. My brother suggested Etsy. I started immediately and began making sales in a short time. I now create and sell my own original sublimation designs, mockups, and illustrations. For this purpose, I have built my own small studio. I believe I can contribute something meaningful to this market, but first and foremost, I do this for myself.
As Leo Tolstoy once said, all great literature tells one of two stories: a person goes on a journey, or a stranger arrives in town. I see myself as someone who set out on a journey in search of a quiet and modest life—and at the same time, as a stranger arriving on Etsy. I hope my story turns out to be a good one.
