I've lived in Alaska for most of my life, and I find it such an inspiring place. The outdoor beauty of islands, towering trees, and ocean waves inspires me to create color and movement in my pieces. My jewelry is created by layering glass on top of copper, a process called enameling. I use a propane torch to fuse the glass to the copper. There is a lot of chance in this particular enameling process which means that no two pieces are ever the same. As pieces cool down after firing, the colors develop and it feels like Christmas every time, you never quite know what you'll get as a finished product.
From my studio to you, I hope you will love to wear these pieces as much as I love making them!

Winter Light started out of my love of color and jewelry. As I began to create pieces, I realized that I couldn't possible wear all of my earrings, and I also found that people were drawn to particular pairs and asked to buy them. I began selling in brick and mortar shops a few years ago and have recently branched out to Etsy. Thank you for visiting my site!
