I have been bending wire since 2001 - I'm only 29 though ;)
I'm a proud wife and mom of two
I could eat dark chocolate and popcorn all day long!
Coffee and beer are gross to me - I'm a tea & wine gal!
Playing board games fills up my tank.
Sitting on the beach is not my favorite vacation, (WHAAAT?!!) I actually like old places with history, and don't sit still well doing nothing!
Sewing is my other creative hobby.
I'm (trying) to learn Spanish and Dutch. Dutch is not going so well!

❉ What Does Wire Expressions™ Mean to Me?
All items come about as an expression of my creativity; everything is made with wire in some shape or form; and when you purchase Wire Expressions from me, it then becomes an expression as you wear it, use it or give it away. So as you can see the name Wire Expressions fits quite well!

❉ About Wire Expressions™ Design Process
People often ask how I get my designs so symmetrical. Well...lots of practice over many years! I enjoy repetition, not using a jig gives me more freedom as I create, and it is just how my brain is 'wired'. Sometimes an idea comes to me very quickly, and other times I really have to work at it. Often a new idea will have yards of practice wire that ends up in the trash, until it comes out just right.

❉ What Is Sold In My Shop?
In my shop you'll find a mix of jewellery and unique gift items. The jewellery is typically made with .925 Sterling Silver, making it beautiful and long lasting! I often hear the comment "What a clever idea!" I'm a practical person, so I also create non-jewellery gift items that have charm and function. (Non-jewellery items are not made with sterling silver...that's just not practical cost wise!)

Most recently, I added wire writing to my repertoire. This gives me the ability to personalize many things for people! As a girl who never found her name on a keychain... this is fantastic!

❉ What You Can Expect From Me
If I won't wear it or use it....I don't think you would either, so I’ve tested my designs to make sure they are ready for the everyday person. Designing simple beautiful things that anyone can admire or have a little fun with is something that gives me great joy, and I want Wire Expressions to be a good experience for you too!

Returns and exchange details
❉ I changed my mind and I'd like to cancel my order.
Please contact me immediately if you wish to cancel. Cancellations can only be accepted if your order is not already in production and/or has not been shipped yet. (Sometimes I do ship same day).

❉ Do you accept returns?
Yes, with the following conditions:
• Your return is not on the list of items that cannot be returned
• Contact me within 3 days of receiving your item to receive return shipping instructions.
• Return the item unworn/unused, and in its original packaging, postmarked within 4 days of contacting me.

Items that can be returned/exchanged with Restocking fees:
• Orders that were shipped with any FREE SHIPPING promotion will be subject to a 20% restocking fee (except in cases where the item is defective).
• Earrings with ear-wires can be returned but are subject to a $3.50 CAD return fee. (So the earring hooks can be swapped for hygiene reasons). If the earring has an ear wire that can be removed and replaced on a new pair, I am happy to discuss an earring exchange and waive this fee.
• Supplies the are custom cut/measured. (ie: bulk wire or string ordered by length) are subject to a 20% restocking fee
• Packages returned to the Montana Address will be subject to a $25 restocking fee.

Sorry, these items cannot be returned or exchanged:
• Toe-rings or earrings where the ear wire cannot be removed. (For hygiene reasons)
• Items sold as ‘Final Sale’ or ‘Clearance’
• Custom Design Fee
• Personalized, Custom Designed items, or Large volume orders.
• Deposits or Other Fees associated with personalized orders, custom orders large volume orders, or where supplies were ordered in specifically for your order.
• Returns or exchanges will NOT be accepted on special occasion orders after the date of the event.
• Masks - for hygiene reasons
• Shipping Fees


• Return shipping costs are to be paid by the buyer and the buyer assumes responsibility for the return package. It is recommended that the buyer ship with tracking or insurance in case of package loss. Any costs incurred by Wire Expressions as a result of a buyer returning a package or item (ie: customs fees or COD fees) may be deducted from the refund amount and refunds or exchanges will only be made once the item has been received by Wire Expressions and inspected to be in the same condition it was shipped in. Original shipping paid will not be refunded.
*****NOTE*****: Shipping from outside Canada: to avoid extra or unanticipated charges, you MUST contact me BEFORE returning your order. See Note below about international returns.

❉ If an item is damaged during shipping, good quality photo proof is required of BOTH the damaged product AND the packaging. (Please hang onto the item as it may be requested back). A replacement item will be sent once these conditions are met.

❉ INTERNATIONAL RETURNS - To my US & International Customers: You MUST contact me BEFORE returning or refusing your order. Returns MUST be sent by regular post (ie. USPS) only to the address which will be provided to you. The return must be clearly marked “CANADIAN GOODS RETURNED” on the package and also on the customs form along side the description of the items. Wire Expressions reserves the right to refuse packages sent any other way, as there may be large fees for other carriers to clear the package through customs into Canada. If you marked the package correctly and customs still charges me customs related fees, these fees will be deducted 50/50 off the return. If the money is reimbursed by Canada Customs, then I will return that back to you.
**NOTE: any orders with upgraded shipping, which are ‘Refused’, ‘Return to Sender’ or Returned to the Montana Address for any reason will be subject to a $25 CAD restocking fee deducted off the item subtotal - please contact me first to get the correct return shipping address. Original shipping paid will not be refunded.

❉ Once the item is received by me, a refund less original shipping and any restocking fees will be issued in CAD funds back to your original method of payment. I am happy to answer any questions prior to purchasing if you are not sure about my policies or an item in my shop. I strive to provide a great customer experience and love interacting with my customers!

❉ Items are listed in Canadian Funds (CAD). Any mention of prices in listing descriptions or through correspondence from me will always be in CAD $. Your Etsy browser will automatically convert the listing price to the currency you have selected as your preference. If you are in Canada please set your Currency to $ CAD to avoid paying more due to currency conversion fees on your credit card. (Your currency can be changed at the bottom of your browser).

❉ What methods do you offer for shipping and how long does it take?
**Canada Post and USPS are stating that due to an increase in online ordering and mandated COVID-19 safety measures for social distancing they are experiencing delivery delays.

TWO METHODS OF SHIPPING FOR CUSTOMERS TO CHOOSE FROM!!!
** STANDARD SHIPPING **
Standard Shipping service is WITHOUT tracking. These orders will be sent by Canada Post Letter Mail within Canada and Canada Post Small Packet (Airmail) to the USA. Usual standard shipping times: 4-7 business days in Canada and 7-15 business days to USA from date of shipping. These orders May show a Package ID number in the tracking field. This is not a tracking number - it is only proof of acceptance at the post office - it will continue to show 'Pre-Transit' in the tracking.


** UPGRADE YOUR SHIPPING **
These TRACKED options may be available for your purchase (Standard shipping does not have tracking):
--> USA -
> USA Canada Post w. Tracking - Includes Tracking and $100 CAD Insurance. 7-15 business days to USA from date of shipping.
> DYK Post/USPS First Class Package* - Includes Tracking. 4-7 business days from shipping date. This is an extra upgrade that I do not currently have as an option (as it is an hour long trip for me to get to the courier). However, if I have multiple packages to mail at a time then this option may be used as a bonus upgrade for my US customers.
> FedEx 3-Day* Service Faster US Customs clearance. $100 USD Insurance. 2 days once order is accepted by Fed-Ex in the United States.
*These upgrades are driven across the US/Canada border by a third party courier. Once your order ships, it will take 1-2 business days for the tracking to update as the order is couriered across the US border.


--> CANADA - Canada Post w. Tracking - Registered Letter Mail or Expedited Parcel - includes a tracking number and $100 CAD insurance. This option may require a signature for delivery. (Service used will be at the discretion of the shop owner). Usual Upgraded Shipping times: 4-7 business days *from the shipping date.

If you need your order within a specific RUSH time period please contact me prior to ordering to find out if your order can be shipped in time. Sorry, regardless of service choice, I cannot make guarantees on delivery dates, as I do not control what happens within the postal service.


❉ When will my order ship?
Each order states a processing/'Ships by' time. This is the amount of time it may take to get your order in the mail - this NOT the time to delivery. Typically In stock orders will ship within 1-3 business days. Made to Order, Custom Orders and Volume Order times may vary.


❉ Where do you ship?
Orders ship to Canada & the United States to the address on the order. Before you click order, please double check to make sure it is correct. I'm happy to ship to other countries too, please contact me to get a shipping quote.


❉ What about Customs & Duty?
Wire Expressions is located in Canada. It is your (the buyer's) responsibility to be aware of any customs, tariffs, duty and tax policies set by your own country and to pay all fees that may be applied to your purchase when it enters your country. Packages which are refused and/or returned to sender will only be refunded as per my return policies less shipping or restocking fees and any other fees incurred by myself to collect the package back. (There usually are no fees for US residents as far as I am aware.)


❉ Marked as Gift
Etsy has a 'Marked as Gift' feature for buyers, so that invoices sent do not show prices. I do not normally include a paper copy of your invoice. I am required to mark the customs form as 'Merchandise' and declare the retail value of the package contents. ‘Marked as Gift’ is not a gift wrapping service.


❉ What if my package has not arrived?
It is very rare for packages not to arrive. If your package is late and has not arrived within 7 business days to Canada or 15 business days to the USA from the shipped date, please contact me so I know. My policy is then to wait the following additional number of days for it to arrive.
CANADA - 10 additional Business Days
USA - 15 additional Business Days (10 additional Business Days for USPS or FedEx upgraded shipping)
INTERNATIONAL - 38 additional Business Days
After this total time, if the package has not shown up at your address or back at mine, then your order will be re-shipped as originally ordered to the address on the order (Refunds will not be issued).
***Shipping times may occasionally take longer, due to peak holiday times, weather, or other postal disruptions.***
***Business Day is defined as Mon-Fri excluding statutory holidays.***

**WHY DO I WAIT?** It is my experience that 9.9/10 customers who inquire about a delayed package, have it show up well before the dates indicated above. While it’s frustrating to wait, no one benefits if shipping prices are increased for insurance to reship items that would otherwise show up a bit late due to the postal service's mishandling of mail. Christmas and other high volume shipping times are when most shipping delays occur. In all my years on Etsy, I have only lost one package. All other packages that I have replaced, have shown up within days of the replacement being shipped.


❉ Undeliverable Mail / Incorrect Addresses
PLEASE make sure your address is correct & complete and that you are able to receive mail at the address provided. Orders are shipped to the address as it is listed on the order. If you move or provide an address or zip code that is incorrect, your package will most likely be returned. The return mail process can take several weeks/months. If a returned order is received, I will make attempts to contact you (the buyer) to provide a correct & current address where the order can be reshipped to. Cost of re-shipping the order will be at the buyers expense (Free Shipping promotions will not apply on orders that have to be re-shipped). In some cases the package may be delivered as addressed, in which case it will not be returned to me. In this case, I recommend the buyer attempt contact with the recipient at the address it was sent to. If you discover that you provided an incorrect address, please contact me right away so I can work with you.

NOTE: If it’s my error, I’ll own it and cover the cost to reship your order! If it’s yours…I will do my best to work with you to resolve it, but the cost of replacement or reshipping will be up to you to cover. If you choose not to have it reshipped, or if I do not hear back from you after reasonable attempts to contact you, a refund will only be issued for items that have been received back to me for the CAD value of the order less original shipping and a 15% re-stocking fee (If another restocking fee applies to your order, then which ever is higher will apply). Personalized or custom made orders or any other items which are non-refundable according to my return policy will not be refunded if you choose not to have it reshipped, I do not receive the package or contact with you is unsuccessful.


❉ Shipping for holiday’s, peak times & special occasions
Once your order is in the postal system, it is out of my hands, therefore I cannot make guarantees on delivery times. Sorry, refunds or credits are not issued if orders do not arrive in time for special events. Please order early to avoid disappointment.

If you place a personalized order and fail to provide all information requested, then I need to contact you through the Etsy Convo system or via email (if available).
- In some cases (such as requiring bead colors) I will make the choice for you. First, I will attempt to contact you one (1) time. In my communication to you I will state the action I will take if I do not hear back from you by a specific date. If you do not respond, I will make the choice for you. This will still be shipped within the processing time stated on your order. No refunds or credits will be issued if you are unhappy with the choice I make.
- If I require a name or other very specific information that I cannot choose on your behalf, I will attempt to contact you three (3) times. This may delay shipping of your order beyond the original processing time. If I do not receive a response from you, your order will be canceled and refunded in full.

❉ Notes about the manufacturing process:
Each item is handmade without a jig therefore slight variations in size or shape may occur from one similar piece to another. Tool marks may be slightly visible on some pieces. (i.e. the lettering where the wire folds over itself). This is not considered a defect.

Frequently asked questions
❉ How long will it take to ship?

All personalized orders are made to order. Shipping times will vary, depending on how many you order, how many orders are ahead of yours, and what time of year it is. The shipping time noted in the listing will be my longest expected time to ship (updated regularly). However, I aim to have your order completed ahead of schedule.

❉ Ooops, a name was spelled wrong, what now?

Contact me as soon as you receive the order! I will make it right for you. If I mis-read the name and spelled it wrong, I will ship out a new name pronto - with HUGE apologies! If you made the spelling error, I can only fix it if I have not made that name yet, otherwise I will create a new listing for you to re-purchase the name portion. So, please double check your spelling.
*Note: due to the cost of the chain, only the name portion on necklaces will be remade. I will provide instructions on how to swap the name, or I recommend asking a jeweller to do it. (It's a simple job, I promise)

❉ Why is the price more for more letters?

I figured out the average number of letters in a name, and used this as my base price. The longer a name is, the more materials it uses, and it takes more time and concentration for it to be made right the first time. My pricing formula means that my customers are not paying the highest price ALL the time and only when needed.

❉ I notice that all the names are done in lower case, can I get my name done in uppercase letters?

I can do the FIRST letter upper case. Please state 'Capitalize first letter' if you'd like it that way instead. Otherwise I will make them all lower case letters as that's just my style :)

❉ Does your jewellery contain Nickel?

All my sterling silver is Nickel Free! I have allergies to nickel myself and can confirm that none of the sterling silver contains nickel. From time to time I may use copper, brass or enameled copper in the design piece. The metal content of some of these wires is sometimes unknown to me, however the part that goes through the ear will always be sterling silver.

❉ Will my order come with tracking?

That all depends on what shipping you choose when you check out! The most affordable choice is Standard Shipping which goes by Lettermail with NO TRACKING. Or you can pay a bit extra for TRACKING with the Upgraded Shipping options. My shop Shipping Policies explain these options in more detail. etsy.me/35x59YF

❉ Can I return my order?

If it is a custom made or personalized item, Sorry, there are no returns or refunds once the name(s)/orders have been made for you. (Which could be started same day if there are no other orders ahead of yours). See return policies for more details. etsy.me/35x59YF

❉ I need this shipped right away, can you do that?

Please contact me to see if I am able to ship within your time frame. A rush fee will apply if it means jumping ahead of other orders in the que.

❉ Do you sell Wholesale?
