More than 20 years ago I became disabled with a heart condition and I have spent the last 12 years needing a wheelchair to get around. This left me with a great deal of time to fill and after trying many things I discovered jewellery making in the form of wire wrapping. It is something I can do on my lap tray with a minimum of tools and fits in with my love of beautiful gemstones.
I began wrapping in August of 2013 and took to it straight away. Although it remains a hobby it gives me an enormous amount of satisfaction and pleasure. My original aim was not to become a business but I have opened this store so that I can sell enough items to keep me supplied with materials. I don't make many pieces as I can only work about 1 day in 3 and don't normally accept orders or commissions as I like the freedom of choosing stones that excite me and wrapping them in ways that I find pleasing. I am always open to suggestions though and if an interesting project comes around I sometimes accept them.
I hope you enjoy looking around my store as all my items are hand made by myself and are all original one off's in design and materials as I use genuine gemstones that Mother Nature has created in great diversity.
