Kitchen Witch Revival
BEWARE OF SCAM SITES:
My witches are one of a kind, made by hand - never duplicated & can ONLY be purchased here, through my Etsy shop: WitchesForKitchens
If you come across an ad or website claiming to sell one of my dolls - please report it.
This all started when one of my buyers posted an unwrapping video of one of my witches on TikTok - it has over 1 million views - since then, bots from China have been scrubbing my sites and descriptions to falsely advertise and scam people.
These false advertisements have been found on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, eBay, Amazon, independent fake websites and even Walmart.
This has been so disheartening to see something I have been building for 15 years cheapened by these vultures.
Thank you, be safe.
—————————————
In the beginning my witches started out as very primitive pieces. It has been so wonderful making and seeing them mature and transform throughout the years.
I have found a way to combine my passion of sewing, painting and sculpting in my makings.
These witches are made with pure love and a touch of magic.
How it began:
Back in 2012, at a quandary for a unique gift, while having a conversation of memories past, suddenly it dawned on me and I saw Hazel; my family's beloved kitchen witch. The little witch hung in my childhood home in the kitchen window over the sink. Viewing my world from above she would, at times, wistfully look out to my backyard of pretend and then fantasy winked at me. Only being able to see her from afar; yet, so enchanted with her aloft, discerning perspective, I now transform the distance from childhood to adulthood with the sing-song of a magical, soulful and reminiscent creation.
A special friend must have a special gift and now I was heart set on a kitchen witch. Unable to attain the perfect one through various searches, making one myself became the only option. Challenged by thought, I bought a little clay, sorted through my fabric, painted a little witchy face and a new generation was born. Several guests at the housewarming I was attending asked where the gift had been purchased and shortly thereafter, I had orders.
With the amount of requests coming in, I decided to open an Etsy shop in 2014 and the rest is history.
Since Hazel was the inspiration that originally birthed my ideas, I now pay homage and breathe new life into this original creation for she has taken good care of me. Hazel has since been passed down and now resides in my kitchen window. I will continue this tradition in my family and am excited she can in essence be a part of many homes to bestow her magic upon them.
One by one, throughout holidays and special gift giving times requests for "Hazel's" whimsy have unfolded into..."Well, who doesn't want a little good fortune in the kitchen?"
P.S. Bestow each witch with an authentic name of endearment, of course, witches don't take to being bunched up. They are originals.
Bright Blessings to you,
Witches For Kitchens
