It started with a gift....
I'm Gemma and my pronouns are she/her/hers.
June 2020, I was gifted with my first sewing machine. It started with making masks for friends, family and colleagues during lockdown and gradually as time wore on, the need for masks decreased and I turned my hand to working on other small crafts.

I mostly buy material off-cuts, vintage fabrics and bits that fabric sellers no longer need to create small designs.
Myself and my little green sewing machine are South London based.

Sewing is a productive outlet to remove myself from daily stresses. It is nothing short of therapy. The impact that sewing has had on creating time for myself, allowing a space to learn and having a creative outlet has been one of the most positive things I’ve done for my mental health and well-being.

I’ve recently started working with resins to create jewellery- I’d made some jewellery to put into homemade stocking fillers for friends. I soon realised that mixing resin is a bit like portioning out spaghetti, I just can't get the perfect amount. So, I've been putting the excess resin to good use and adding small pieces to my shop.
I’ve added a selection of earrings, keyrings and pins to my shop for anyone looking for a unique accessory.

This shop is not for profit- after listing fees, postage and selling costs anything left over is donated to go to the Phoenix Dog Rescue in Warrington. In 2021, our family lost my amazing mother-in-law, she was a big ambassador for the Phoenix. We have continued our patronage to this incredible charity. They rely solely on donations, the work they do with dogs and the support they provide to dog owners is nothing short of phenomenal.

A heads up that I post everything through Royal Mail- which for the most part is pretty good and orders turn up pretty quickly. However, it does mean that we're at the whim of the postal system so there may be delays in posting from time to time.
If you are time sensitive then please drop me a private message, there is an option for faster delivery although it does incur a cost.
