I am John: Since I REtired from teaching woodworking, I work in "the woods" and my home workshop almost every day. My products are Vintage, REcyled, or made by me, from out of "the woods". I usually distress my hand made items to enhance the aged character of the mostly REclaimed materials that I use. Expect to see some bare wood showing through the paint, knots, dents, nail holes, scrapes and small cracks. These add interest and character, but don't affect strength or use of the item. IF YOU PREFER THAT YOUR HAND MADE ITEM NOT BE DISTRESSED, INCLUDE THAT WISH IN A MESSAGE TO SELLER WHEN YOU PURCHASE. I tend to leave my vintage and antique items in "as found" condition. I do add a drop of oil here and there, and dry wipe most items to be sure that they are generally clean and working. If you want restored items, I leave that adventure to you, the buyer.

I am John. As I grew up farming in the woods, many of my needs were met by RE-using, and RE-inventing old tools, equipment and furniture. RE-cycled items, from the junk pile and the woods, were my main source of materials. I am 79 years old now, and in RE-tirement, my ETSY shop is based on the same principles. My products are RE-cycled, or made by me, from out of the woods.

I usually distress my handmade items, to enhance the aged character of the mostly RE-claimed materials that I use.
