The home of vibrant Minis and Wonderful 100's.
Where you will find one of a kind hand dyed yarn
--------------------------------------------------
BUBBLY BOBBLY BOO - colorway is officially retired.
-------------------------------------------------
I make small batches of each colorway. The color ways are dyed for each set of mini skeins. The amount of yarn I use is from six to ten skeins per dye pot. By using this process, I am able to make sure the yarn colorway is consistent. This keeps each batch more unique to use for your project. These skeins of yarn will give a funky look to a pair of frankensocks , a cuff or heel of your socks, part of a granny square project or even combine them together for a one of a kind hat!
Make sure to purchase enough for your project (at one time) or place a custom order of the colorway you like. Once they are sold that is it.

Remember there will be variations within with each dye batch.

These mini skiens are great for the hexipuffs for the Beekeeper's Quilt.

You are able to get an average of 2 hexipuffs out of the 25 yards.

PM me regarding custom orders for either a Mini or Wonderful 100.
I will respond with in 24 hours with your answer to let you know how I will fulfill your wish.
Please have the same common courtesy and PM me back if you want to go through with the order or you have changed your mind.
Much appreciated.

The shop owner messaged me and sent a photo of a new batch she had dyed, asking me if the colorway was acceptable? It is lovely.

Shop owner separated this colorway in a small bag so I would know the correct name of the blue/teal/turquoise mini and another mini that looked very similar.

About

Bringing bright, bold colors into your life one mini skein at a time.

Update of my Story
Thank you for joining me on this adventure which I call my " ikigai". Even though it has been challenging over the years to bring my vision of yarns, in which I feel now would be a great addition to any yarnies stash.
Now 6 years later I am taking that leap of faith with this new line of yarns for my shop, Minis and Wonderful 100's. This past month my passion for dyeing yarn had an epiphany which has lead me to a happy ending of having graduated from Kool-Aid to the professional dyes from a company called Greener Shades.
I have also became a "Phattie" for the group Phat Fiber Sample Box. I hope to continue this avenue of sharing my yarns.
Please remember to sign up for my newsletter (at www.woolandtwosticks.com) which I will be posting monthly updates of the latest theme of the month, plus other aid bits about projects which might work with the yarns you buy here.
Beginning of Original Story:
My sister, Dagny, just tried something new to add to her love of working with yarn in the summer of 2011. She tried out hand dying yarn with Kool-Aid and told me I should give it a shot.
After visiting a local yarn shop for "blank" yarn, was the start of a journey, a trip to the grocery store to buy a plethora of colors of Kool-Aid to make into dyes. That same summer I rose to the challenge to try my hand of dying yarn. First time dyeing the yarn I followed the directions to a "T". I wasn't happy with the washed out colors that where appearing. With some trial and error I came up a formula that worked to bring the yarn to life with bright colors.
I couldn't believe how easy it was to dye yarn and how additive this new art form would be. When I couldn't find the color I wanted to use or couldn't spin up from a batt or roving, I would dye yarn and use it instead.
As summer faded into fall, every so often I would crave the creativeness and break out the Kool-Aid packs and dye jars and make some great color combos.
As any good story you read there are struggles and crisis before an epiphany which usually leads to a happy ending.
My story of dyeing yarn has been like this. For years I was happy with just using Kool-Aide and other food safe product to dye my yarns I use. I even sold a few skeins of them. Life would get in the way and I would have to put my dyes away for an other day. Every so often from my sister and a lady named, LeiLaniSue, from Heavenly Fiber, whom I befriend on Ravelry would tell me I have a talent for this art form and I should take it to the next level by using professional dyes.
