About Me
When I was growing up in Moscow, my family had a beautifully painted Zhostovo tray proudly displayed on the living room shelf. I admired its intricately painted flowers and bright happy colours, and since then, I have loved Russian decorative painting.
Sometimes my father would put me on his knee and teach me to paint. He has recently passed away, and I am grateful for his encouragement, and for developing my love of painting from an early age.
My love for spinning yarn began several years ago when a friend bought me a spinning wheel. It took a lot of patient practice to learn to spin well, but it was worth it.
A few years ago, merging my two favorite things, I began to paint spindles. I am constantly learning and developing my skills. I am always looking to improve in some way.
I am now in my final year of studying Bachelor of Visual Arts at Adelaide College of the Arts and I love it. I am thinking about studying my Masters next.
