Hi! I'm Emi. I love the process and intimacy of making things by hand. Each garment/accessory here has been handmade by me using second-hand, vintage or discarded materials. Most pieces are one-offs, making them as unique as the fabric they contain.
Like my savvy quilting grandmother (imagine a rad 80-yr-old mother of 10, with a whole room containing nothing but a quilt), I like to mix and match materials. Some garments might contain old hankies from the 20s, feed sack material from the 40s or blingin 80s sequins. Occasionally I silkscreen on my own art or paint. Sometimes I use art from friends and stitch by hand. These garment contain stories, history and lots of love.

In addition to this line I work through St Louis creating awareness through community arts, teaching DIY and kids classes, as well as social organizing. I also run a studio space called Arcadia, in an old factory overlooking the river. And I preform as the Ghosts I Have Been, utilizing public spaces and transportation throughout the US. I enjoy collaborating and creating wherever I go.
